Catering Manager required 

The Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Catering Manager to join our happy and successful school with Christ at the centre. You will join a supportive and hard-working team who work together to achieve the best for our pupils in every aspect of school life.

 

As Catering Manager you will have full operational responsibility for the kitchen and catering team. You will be responsible for ensuring the preparation, production and cooking of all meals are managed efficiently, with a daily service of approximately 180 covers.

The successful candidate will have a passion for serving high quality, freshly cooked meals, focusing on delivering the highest quality food with flair and originality. We are looking for a high energy, flexible and positive person to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Kitchen organisation and management - lead, develop, train, and inspire your team

• The preparation and cooking of meals

• Serving of meals where required

• Use and care of equipment

• Have full control of stock

• Ensure consistency of food and service standards

• Manage and improve all controllable costs

• Oversee the main kitchen and menu development

• Deliver exceptional customer service

• Maintain systems & procedures, and legislation

• Carry out regular audits

• Completion of paperwork on a daily and weekly basis

The successful candidate will have:

• Relevant qualifications

• Knowledge of health and safety practices

• Experience within a similar environment

• Experience of managing a catering team

• Experience in food preparation
