Welcome to Holy Family RC Primary School's website. We hope that the information you find here is useful for parents, friends, families and children.

We are a one form entry school in the heart of Kirkholt in Rochdale, serving the Catholic community and those of other faiths and none.  We pride ourselves in being a community whose values are taken from the Holy Family's example; that of supporting one another and striving to become the people God intended us to be.

Our mission is to achieve excellence 'through work, through worship and through witness' which we endeavour to do in partnership with parents and carers.

Please take the time to get to know our school.  Your comments and suggestions are also very welcome and you can pass on your ideas using the contact us section on the homepage.

Plans for Reopening School

Since the Government announced that schools would begin to reopen on 1st June, we have been looking at how this could be safely and carefully managed.  The Local Authority have advised all schools to postpone opening up to other year groups until 15th June.  When we do open up, our priority is the safety and welfare of pupils and staff.  Vulnerable and Key Worker children are still the main priority group but we are looking at slowly opening up to children in Nursery, Reception. Year 1 and Year 6.  This will be done in a gradual and staggered way.  The number of children we are able to accommodate is small given the restrictions of the school building and the need to observe social distancing.

We have put together a Parents FAQ Sheet (Frequently Asked Questions) to help parents understand how the proposed reopening may affect your child.  This can be found below along with a letter to parents.

Please refer to the letter from Gail Hopper, Director of Children's Service and Councillor Kieran Heakin regarding the Government advice about reopening of schools on June 1st.

Further details about the plan for Holy Family will follow in the coming week.
